Banka je tokom 2022. godine osnovala EIB Global, nov investicioni ogranak posvećen zemljama i regionima van Evropske unije. U okviru nove organizacione strukture, Banka je efikasnije organizovala svoje aktivnosti na Zapadnom Balkanu, nastavljajući da pokreće projekte koji odgovaraju infrastrukturnim potrebama i izazovima proisteklim iz globalne energetske, prehrambene i klimatske krize.
EIB Global uložio je 2022. godine 835,2 miliona evra na Zapadnom Balkanu.
